Ruth Page is an intimate, but not tiny, theater with 218 seats. The stage is designed for dancing (ballet) so it is very deep. The orchestra is actually behind the stage, so the seats are very close to the action. Take a look at the chart and please see my comments below before purchasing your seats! Please note: if you work with me on purchasing your seats we can try to sit together! That said, if you know your date and you see the correct number of good seats together, by all means snag them!
Feature 1
As you can see, there is a balcony represented by AA-CC. The seats in Row AA are amazing, especially in the middle. If you see the show twice, try for Row AA the first time, then go downstairs for the up-close & personal version. The other rows in the balcony are OK...row BB in the middle would work nicely. If only CC is left then try for downstairs.
If you see the show only once, I recommend the house level (downstairs) as long as there are good seats there. The house level has three considerations:
1. Middle/aisle will always be better
2. Rows F, G, and H are underneath the balcony and have a restricted view. F works OK, but avoid G and H if you can.
3. Row A is essentially on the stage. I am a "Row A" kind of guy but it is pretty intense. I think a lot of people would prefer Rows B to E, and you will likely see that when you pull up the ticket selection page. However, if Row A is available for your date you should seriously consider going there!
